Ontem, dia 28, membros do Comdef-Rio foram assistir a peça Paradinha Cerebral, que encerrará sua temporada hoje. A turma do Comdef-Rio e a plateia lotada não pouparam aplausos para Cassiano Fernandez (Cacá) e Mirna Rubim, estrelas da produção no Teatro 2 do Fashion Mall (21h30m).

O MESMO IMENSO ORGULHO

Nós, pessoas com deficiência, atletas ou não, não temos nada de super-heróis da superação. Se não somos atletas, quando escrevemos nos teclados dos computadores com os dedos dos pés, estamos apenas exercendo o resultado de um processo de adaptação.

Quando somos atletas, depois de já exercermos naturalmente no cotidiano nosso(s) resultado(s) de adaptação à(s) nossa(s) deficiência(s), aí sim, estamos em busca da superação. Mas a superação então buscada é da mesma natureza da superação buscada pelos atletas sem deficiência. Todos nós, deficientes ou não, competimos com nossos adversários em busca da superação das nossas próprias marcas, em busca da medalha de ouro. Todos nós somos, então, heróis!

Eu mesmo, guardadas as devidas proporções, pois nunca fui atleta, quando já não tinha a perna esquerda, arrebentei o tendão do ombro direito e fiquei sabendo que ficaria seis meses com o braço direito imobilizado numa tipoia de abdução. Privilegiado, tive tempo para treinar e me preparar para fazer tudo apenas com a mão esquerda. Confesso que vestir minhas calças jeans foi o mais difícil, mas o resto, sem falsa modéstia, foi moleza, e hoje em dia sou ambidestro.

Portanto, vamos festejar nossos heróis esportivos, deficientes ou não, com a mesma vibração, com o mesmo imenso orgulho!

Alice im Land der Paralympischen Spiele

In der Geschichte „Alice im Wunderland“, Wesen aller Art interagieren in vielerlei Formen, und deren Unterschiede werden nie die Ursache für Vorurteile oder Diskriminierungen. Die fiktive Abenteuer und Missgeschicke dieser Charaktere zeigen deren Merkmale und Persönlichkeiten, in der Umgebung reflektiert, die sie im Wunderland teilen.

Für die Wesen, die außerhalb des Bereichs der Fantasie leben, definiert häufig die Unmöglichkeit der Interaktion, auch unter Gleichen, die Existenz: erfolgreiche Interaktionen sind eher die Ausnahmen, die die Regeln bestätigen. So ist die Natur der Menschen, die außerhalb Wunderlands leben.

Wenn wir die Möglichkeiten betrachten, die uns Science-Fiction und die technologische Entwicklungen anbieten, wird es vorstellbar, dass unsere Welt eines Tages in der Lage sein wird, unterschiedliche Wesen in ihrer Vielfältigkeit zu begrüßen. Auch wenn diese Welt der Zukunft anders als das Wunderland von Alice aussieht.

In der Tat, wenn wir denken dass die Science-Fiction so viel vorhergesehen hat, was uns heute die Technologie ermöglicht, können wir viele Abenteuer und Merkmale verschiedener Wesen der Fiktion als Vorwarnung sehen. Geschichten, die aus den tiefsten Ecken der menschlichen Fantasie kommen und über die Fähigkeit zu fliegen erzählen, oder über die Möglichkeit berichten, mit jemandem auf der anderen Seite des Planeten zu kommunizieren. Fantasien, die zeigen wie wir mit sehr unterschiedlichen "Wesen" leben können, wie die Charaktere in Alice im Wunderland tun.

Wir haben noch einen langen Weg vor uns, bevor wir in einer Welt leben, in der alle Unterschiede und Differenzen wirklich akzeptiert werden. Ein Beispiel dafür, wie weit entfernt wir noch von dieser Welt sind, ist der Mangel an finanziellen Mitteln für die Paralympische Spiele 2016.

Trotzdem wurden einige wichtige Schritte schon unternommen - geschlechtsspezifische Unterschiede werden besser akzeptiert; die Rolle der Frauen in der Gesellschaft entwickelt sich immer mehr; Rassendiskriminierung wird als "etwas aus der Vergangenheit" bereits berücksichtigt. Aber es gibt noch eine Menge Arbeit zu tun.

Das Kollektives Unbewusstes hält ein vorherrschendes Bild von dem, was ein Mensch haben soll: zwei Beine, zwei Arme und, am wichtigsten, autonome Mobilität. Wenn wir über verschiedene Gruppen von Menschen denken, häufig schließen wir Menschen ohne Beine, ohne Arme oder an Rollstuhle gefesselt aus.

Beeinflusst durch unterschiedliche kulturelle Aspekte betrachten wir dieses "Vergessen" als etwas Natürliches. Aber es ist die Kultur selbst, die uns ermöglichen soll, in unserer Psyche die Akzeptanz von Menschen mit verschiedenen Eigenschaften und Formen zu verinnerlichen.

Diese „Wesen“ werden „behindert“ genannt. Obwohl sie eine Menge in Bezug auf Menschenrechte erreicht haben, stehen sie immer noch vor der unüberwindlichen Mauer der Unsichtbarkeit und sind immer in Ghettos isoliert. Ein offensichtliches Beispiel, das sich speziell mit der Leistung des menschlichen Körpers beschäftigt, ist die Trennung zwischen die Olympischen- und die Paralympischen Spiele.

Wenn wir verschiedene Sportarten und verschiedene Kategorien innerhalb jeder Disziplin haben, warum können wir nicht den Sport der behinderten Sportler als Kategorien in verschiedenen Disziplinen einbauen?

Um diese Idee mehr akzeptabel und verständlich für alle Menschen - Behinderte oder nicht – zu machen, würde ich gerne Wunderland als Ort für die nächste Olympischen Spiele vorschlagen. Dort kann ein Event stattfinden, dass alle Menschen einschließt und über genügende finanzielle Mittel verfügt, um alles zu erreichen, dass noch zu erreichen ist.

Alice in Paralympics Land

In Alice in Wonderland, beings of all kinds interact in many forms, and the differences between them are not causes of prejudice and discrimination. The characters’ fictional adventures and misadventures demonstrate the nature of each of them in the environment they share in Wonderland.

For the beings that live outside the realm of fantasy, the impossibility of interaction, even among equals, defines their existence—successful interactions are an exception to the rule. Such is human nature, in action and living outside Wonderland.

If we consider the possibilities offered by science fiction and by technological developments, we can think our world will be able, one day, to welcome the most diverse beings, even if this future world is different from Alice’s.

In fact, if we consider that fiction has anticipated much of what technology offers us today and that is part of our daily lives, we can accept the premonitory nature of the adventures of many different beings. These stories come from the deepest corners of human imagination and include the ability to fly, to walk on the moon, to speak with someone on the other side of the planet, and to know and live with very diverse “beings,” like the characters in Alice in Wonderland do.

We still have a long way to go before we can have a world in which all differences are truly accepted, and one example of how far we are from this world is the lack of funds to hold the 2016 Paralympic Games. Some important steps have been taken—gender differences are beginning to be accepted; women are expanding their role in society; prejudices against race are already considered “a thing of the past”. But there’s still a lot of work to be done.

The collective unconscious holds a predominant image of what a human being should have—two legs, two arms and, most important of all, autonomous mobility. When we think of the diverse human groups, we naturally exclude people with no legs, no arms, or wheelchair-bound.

Influenced by cultural aspects, we consider this “forgetfulness” as something natural, but it is culture itself that will allow us to instill in our psyche the acceptance of human beings with different shapes and forms. These beings are called “disabled.” Although they have accomplished a lot in terms of human rights, they still face the challenge of the huge and insurmountable wall of invisibility, and are always isolated in ghettos. One obvious example, which deals specifically with the performance of the human body, is the separation between the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

If we have different sports and different categories within each discipline, why can’t we include the sports of the disabled athletes as categories within different disciplines?

In order to make this idea more acceptable and understood by all kinds of people, disabled or not, and in order to make it happen for all—athletes and audience—, I would like to propose Wonderland as a possible venue for the next Olympic Games, an event that would include all people and that would have enough funds to accomplish everything that still needs to be accomplished.

Alice no País da Paralimpíada

No País das Maravilhas de Alice, os seres mais diversos interagem, de todas as formas, sem identificar as diferenças entre eles como fatores de preconceito e discriminação. As aventuras e desventuras dos seus personagens, por mais fantasiosas, expressam a maneira de ser de cada um no ambiente comum do País das Maravilhas.

Já no mundo dos seres nada fantasiosos, as indicações são, como regra, de impossibilidade de interação, mesmo entre iguais, geralmente dando um caráter de excepcionalidade positiva quando processos de interação são bem-sucedidos. Assim é a natureza humana fora do País das Maravilhas.

Talvez possamos ter a expectativa de que o mundo em que vivemos venha a acolher os seres humanos mais diversos, por conta das maravilhas que nos são apresentadas pela ficção e pela tecnologia, mesmo quando diferentes do mundo de Alice.

Aliás, se considerarmos que as histórias de ficção anteciparam muito do que hoje a tecnologia nos apresenta como banal, podemos aceitar como premonitórias as aventuras de seres muito diversos, provenientes dos mais profundos recônditos da imaginação do homem, seja voando, pisando na Lua, falando diretamente com quem está do outro lado do mundo, conhecendo e convivendo com “seres” tão diferentes, da mesma forma que os personagens do País das Maravilhas.

Sem dúvida, estamos muito longe de contarmos com tal acolhimento das diferenças no mundo em que vivemos, pois falta até dinheiro para realizar a Paralimpíada 2016. Mas alguns passos importantes já foram dados. As diferenças de gêneros começam a ser aceitas, as mulheres firmam, cada vez mais, seu papel na sociedade, preconceitos de cor ou raça já são considerados “antiquados”, embora ainda falte muito.

Mas podemos perceber que todos estão dentro de uma certa conformidade anatômica humana dominante no inconsciente coletivo, com duas pernas, dois braços etc. e, o mais importante, com mobilidade autônoma. Ao considerarmos os diferentes grupos humanos, naturalmente não incluímos pessoas sem pernas, braços ou em cadeiras de rodas.

Encarando como natural o “esquecimento”, não o fazemos apenas por uma questão cultural, embora a cultura seja o único caminho para introjetarmos em nossa psiquê tais modelos diferentes de seres humanos. Esses humanos, chamados de pessoas com deficiência, embora já tenham conquistado muita coisa em termos de direitos, ainda se deparam com o imenso e intransponível muro da invisibilidade e estão sempre sendo isolados em guetos. Assim é, como no exemplo mais evidente, que trata justamente da performance do corpo humano, com a separação entre Olimpíada e Paralimpíada.

Ora, se temos nos Jogos diferentes modalidades esportivas e diferentes categorias dentro de cada modalidade, por que não incluir no conjunto das competições as práticas esportivas das pessoas com deficiência como categorias das diversas modalidades?

Para que essa ideia possa ser absorvida e entendida por todos os tipos de pessoas, com e sem deficiência, e seja realizada plenamente por todos – atletas e público –, ouso apresentar o País das Maravilhas como candidato à realização da próxima Olimpíada, totalmente inclusiva, e com dinheiro para tudo.
